Dear TC Students and Families,
Just recently, Kentucky legislators passed Senate Bill 1 (SB1) which removed the Kentucky Board of Education’s universal mask mandate for all Kentucky’s schools, effective this Friday, the 17th. This means, after Friday, the decision to “mask or not” now falls to each district. Because the state has handed this choice back to the districts, moving forward we have increased flexibility to make the best decision possible for our students based on our specific, localized, community and district data. We can choose to lift the mask requirement when our numbers reach safer levels. Trimble County Schools collectively, with the Trimble Co. Board of Education will revisit the mask mandate in the upcoming weeks and develop a set of metrics, to be adopted, that will enable mask use to be discontinued when district specific and overall community data determine it is safe to do so. The following metrics have been consistently monitored by the Superintendent and district leadership since the beginning of the 2020-21 school year: Community Incidence Rates, District Incidence Rates and District Quarantine Numbers.
Until our metric matrices is developed, Trimble County Schools will continue to require students, staff and visitors to wear masks in our facilities and on our school buses. As soon as the matrix has been developed, we will communicate that information with you all.
Thank you for partnering with us, as we do all we can to keep our staff and students safe and to maintain in-person learning.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
This afternoon it will be necessary to run a double route in order to provide transportation for all of our bus routes. Double Routing means that a bus driver will deliver one route of students and will then circle back to the schools to pick up and then deliver the second route. It will be necessary that we "double route" Jamie Ely's student riders this afternoon.
Students that ride bus #913 will be held after school at Bedford Elementary School and/or Trimble Co. Jr/Sr High School until approximately 4 to 4:15 pm at which time they will be picked up and the route run at that time. This means that these students will not be arriving home until an hour to an hour and 15 minutes later than usual. Parents can also make arrangements to have your child picked up at the end of the school day if this interferes with prior engagements.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause to your child and to your family. Please know that we don't have many options available and are doing the best that we can to get all students home. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
