Starting Monday April 22nd, Trimble County Jr./Sr. High School will be accepting nominations for Site Based Decision Making Council Parent Members for the 2024-2025 school year. To be eligible to serve as SBDM parent rep, you must be a parent or legal guardian of a student at TCJHS for the school year 2024-2025.
The legal definition of parent (KRS 160.345.1.c) allows biological parents, stepparents, foster parents or persons who have court ordered legal custody to be nominated or to vote. Parent SBDM reps cannot be employed in or be related to someone who is employed in the school or in the district administrative offices.
Nominations can be submitted via email to Shawna.jent@trimble.kyschools.us or by calling the school.
For further questions regarding SBDM parent elections, please contact Shawna Jent by email or at 502-663-0102.

To all Juniors and Seniors: The community needs our help! Tomorrow, we will take all juniors and seniors that are willing to participate to aid in the tornado clean-up in Milton. Those wishing to help need to: Arrive to school on time. Eat a good breakfast. Wear long pants, long sleeves and close-toed shoes. (Students not dressed as listed will NOT be allowed to participate). Bring a pair of work gloves. (There will be a limited supply of gloves on-site for those who do not have a pair to bring). Temperatures are only expected to reach the upper 30's and low 40's tomorrow, so please dress to stay warm. Layers are recommended. All participants must bring a note of permission from a parent. It should read: (Student's name) has permission to participate in the tornado clean-up on 3/18/24. The note must be signed by a parent/guardian and should include an emergency contact number. We will plan to leave school around 9:00 and return to school between 2 and 2:30. Let's rally the troops and do what we can to assist those impacted by Thursday's tornado. Thanks in advance for your willingness to lend a hand and be a light in our community! See you tomorrow!! WE ARE TC!
Students in grades 7-11 will be MAP testing tomorrow and Thursday. Please remember to charge your Chromebooks tonight. We need all students to bring their Chromebooks and chargers to school as we have a very limited number of loaner Chromebooks. Set your items near your cell phone so you don't forget! We appreciate everyone's help.
This message is for juniors. If you are the parent of a junior, please make sure they receive this information. Thanks! All juniors will take the ACT tomorrow. Here are a few reminders: Be sure to get a good night's rest. Eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning. If you haven't turned in your ACT consent form, please bring it to your test room. Be sure to fully charge your Chromebook tonight and don't forget to bring it and your charger with you! Remember to answer all questions. It's better to guess than to leave any question blank. Relax...you're going to do GREAT!
Please see the attached flyer regarding an informational meeting on VAPING and ALCOHOL use.
Juniors and Junior Parents: March 12th is the ACT for all students in the 11th grade. This is a state mandated test that all juniors must take. Students need to be at school by 8:00am. We encourage students to get a good nights rest, eat breakfast, bring a sealed bottle of water and a snack. ALL students must bring a charged Chromebook and charger. They may also bring an ACT approved calculator. Many juniors are bringing home an ACT Parental Consent Form that must be signed and returned to Ms. Howerton by tomorrow. This document allows students to share personal information with colleges and others who provide scholarships for post secondary education. If your junior did not bring home a form, you may email your consent to andrea.howerton@trimble.kyschools.us stating that you give permission for your child to complete the Educational Opportunity Service. If you have any questions, you may email using the address above or call 502-255-7781. Thank you.
Hello! It is that time of year again in which local scholarship packets will be coming out. If you have interest in offering a scholarship please contact me by email at whitney.farmer@trimble.kyschools.us or by phone at 502-255-5100 ext. 2113. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Our girl's basketball team has advanced to Regional Tournament play! They will face Anderson County at 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening in the Anderson County High School gym. A pep bus will be available for students in grades 9-12 IF a minimum number of students decide to ride to the game via the pep bus. Students that would like to ride the bus should bring $12.00 to school TOMORROW. This amount includes the $10 entry ticket. Students will need to pick up a permission slip and return it on Tuesday. The bus will leave from the high school at 4:30 on Tuesday and should return between 9:30-10:00 pm. Students should eat prior to leaving or bring additional money for the concession stand. The bus will NOT stop on the way to or from the game. Please bring your $12 ticket/bus money to the front desk. If we do not have enough students to take a pep bus, all money will be returned. Thank you and GO LADY RAIDERS!

Attention Junior Beta Members and Families! With the impeding severe weather threat and extreme temperatures forecasted for the duration of our convention time, we have decided to opt out of our trip to convention this year. We are disappointed we cannot attend, but we are trying to promote the safety of our students first and foremost. Mrs. Farmer will still take the projects down personally on Monday and will be communicating a time students can bring those to school to submit. If convention itself is not postponed we will refund money to students. However, if they decide to postpone we will make all new reservations. Please do not hesitate to email or call if you have questions. Thank you for your understanding.
Our Homecoming ceremony has been re-scheduled for Monday, January 29. After announcing Saturday, January 20, this afternoon to students, we were informed that a number of our homecoming court would be unable to attend. We regret that we are unable to continue with our festivities tonight and hope that everyone will be able to join us on our new date. Our boys will play Gallatin County with the JV game beginning at 6:00. Crowning will take place immediately following the JV game (approximately 7:00) and our varsity team will wrap up the evening with tip-off scheduled for 7:30. Until then, stay safe, stay warm and have a wonderful 3-day weekend!
