Senior Awards Ceremony will be Thursday, May 19th, at 6:00 pm in the TC Jr/Sr High School gymnasium.
I have sent an email to all seniors requesting information on any scholarships or awards, that they have received from a post-secondary institution, technical school, military branch etc. We will also recognize students receiving industry certifications, degrees, as well as those passing an end of placement exam in our CTE programs. Please reply to my email with this information no later than Wednesday.

Parents of students in grades 9, 10 and 11 are invited to a scheduling presentation on Wednesday, May 11. The presentation will be in the JR/SR High cafeteria at 6:00 pm. Information regarding course options for the 2023 school year and future academic opportunities will be presented and staff will be available to answer questions. We look forward to seeing you!
Parents and Students: Next week is state testing. We ask that all students bring in their Chromebooks and chargers each day of testing with Chromebooks charged and ready to go. Students need to get plenty of rest, eat breakfast and bring in a bottle of water or container that can be refilled. Happy testing week!

May 18 – Cutoff for being eligible to WALK at graduation – If you do not meet graduation requirements on this day, you may NOT participate in the ceremony.
May 19 – Cap & Gown Ceremony, 2:30 pm, at JSHS
May 19 – Senior Awards Night, 6:00pm, at JSHS
May 20 – Graduation Practice, 8:30 am, at JSHS – bring Cap & Gown for pictures – ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY, or you will NOT be permitted to participate in the ceremony.
May 23 – Senior King’s Island Trip

Great news from Ivy Tech!
Ivy Tech in Madison, is now accepting KEES money awarded to graduating Seniors. Ivy Tech will also be at TCJR/SR High School during the lunch block on May 5th, from 11:00-12:30 to answer questions from any high school student.
8th grade students and parents: There will be an 8th grade scheduling meeting tonight at 6:00 at the Junior Senior High School. Ms. Howerton and Mrs. Marsh will be there to help with questions. If you can not make it, no worries, we will share the information on the website later next week.
Parent SBDM rep elections will take place today until 6:00 in the front office. Votes can also be emailed to shawna.jent@trimble.kyschools.us. The ballot is listed below. You may select up to three options.

8th grade parents: There will be a scheduling meeting for 8th grade students and parents on Wednesday April 20th at 6:00 at Trimble County Junior/Senior High School.
Parent nominations for SBDM Council are now open. You may nominate yourself or another parent by stopping by the front office of the Junior/Senior High School and fill out a paper or you can call 502-663-0102 and leave a message for Mrs. Jent. All nominations must be in by 3:00 on April 15th.
Ivy Tech Madison is pleased to offer high school students in our service area the opportunity to apply for a scholarship towards one of the dual enrollment pathway programs available through our campus. To be considered, students must complete and submit the application. Students only need to complete one application per academic year. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need and other funding sources may be taken into consideration.
If awarded, the funds can be applied towards tuition, books, consumables, and fees. Award amount will vary. To maintain scholarship, you must attend class regularly and hold a 2.0 GPA.
The deadline to apply is May 15th, 2022. Students selected to receive a scholarship will be notified by June 30th, 2022.
Currently these scholarships are only available to students joining a designated dual enrollment pathway (Welding, Industrial Maintenance, Informatics, or CNA)

Please find attached the application for the 2022 Baptist Health La Grange Volunteer Scholarship. This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a 2022 high school graduate in the Oldham, Henry, or Trimble county schools. The scholarship will be presented to a graduate who has been accepted to an accredited college/university with the intent of pursuing a career in the medical/healthcare field.

Attention Virtual Only Students in grades 7 to 11: This week is MAP testing. All Virtual Only students in grades 7-11 will be taking MAP Reading on Tuesday, March 29th between 8:30-3:00 and MAP Math on Thursday, March 31st between 8:30-3:00. Each session will last approximately one hour. You must complete each session in one sitting. An email will be coming to you through your school email account that has more information about MAP testing. You will also receive an email the morning of testing which will include the session name and password.
